Good night day 1
So racing for day 1. Upon entering the harbor the cell phones wearing ringing off the hook. Many of the charter boats were leaking pretty bad, Angry Chameleon lost there forestay during race 3 causing them to retire, but thanks to Jeff S and a few calls a new mast & boom was ready for them to pick up from Waterline. Bob Haywords, Blue Jay, took a nasty hit & the glass guys where there ready & waiting to do the repair. Many sails, mostly kites, where sent to sail lofts for repair. "More Gustosa" lost their kite with a rip from foot to head, "Fired up" took a port side hit from "FKA" followed by a starboard hit. As Jay Lutz put it, "there coming back for more", I saw flashbacks to worlds in Spain. Looks like all 60 boats will make the start tomorrow, "Angry Chameleon" may miss race 1 due to setting up the mast & boom.
So much more to come tomorrow, stay tuned! FYI, Team Church Key won the tent party tonight. Btw, excuse any spelling errors, long day on the water!!
Cheers
